The first Pendle Championship finished in January 2007 with the last game enabling Mark Stollery to catch up with Rob Tokeley on 7.5 to share the title. John Belbin was third with 6.5. Open to anyone in Pendle we hoped it would bring in a few new members - and it did with an extra 5 - but unfortunately they all dropped out early in the tournament!

Each player in the championship played all their 10 games - a first for the club as previous tournaments have always had several defaults. In the subsidiary tournament a few games remain to be played.

Entries for the 2007 tournament should be sent to John Belbin by mid February.
