The 2008 Presentation Evening / Lightning Tournament

This took place on Thursday May 29th at The SparrowHawk Hotel in Burnley with about 30 players attending.
The players divided into six teams for the Lightning Tournament which was played as a five-round all play all.
Our President, Phil Titterington of Clitheroe Chess Club presented the trophies after two rounds of the Lightning Tournament had been completed. 

The Lightning Tournament was won by Hawks A with 15 points.
Other scores were: Clitheroe 13; Great Harwood A 12.5; Odds-and Sods 10.5; Hawks B 5.5; Great Harwood B 4.
